Fraternity & Sorority Life provides opportunities for personal and professional development, civic engagement, and academic enhancement. This occurs through the diverse offering of educational programs, leadership development, and civic engagement opportunities
both on campus and at the national level.
Please complete the following form to receive more information about fraternities and sororities at Slippery Rock University. We will use this information to make sure you are up-to-date on all recruitment activities, informational events, and opportunities
to learn more about fraternity and sorority life at SRU! Please include any questions you have and the Assistant Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life and Student Organizations or a council representative will reach out to you.
Students interested in joining a sorority or fraternity at Slippery Rock University must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student
- Earn at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average
- Earn a minimum of 12 credit hours at Slippery Rock University or transferred with a minimum of 12 credit hours from another college or university (post high school graduation)
- Be in good disciplinary standing with the University
First-Year students are eligible to join a fraternity or sorority in the spring semester when they have met the above criteria. First-Year students are encouraged to meet our organizations and attend events hosted by our chapters and councils.
